I don't know why I haven't shared this long ago. When I experienced it first-hand, it was an overwhelmingly powerful revelation. It explained clearly how gender-based differences in communication can have give rise to (largely unnecessary) provocations and arguments. Now that I understand the mechanism, I believe many can come to experience improved interpersonal dialog and interaction. We'll start by an example of apparent MDM.

North Idaho's Edgar J. Steele
Trying to stay far away from 'controversial' issues, topics, I am still compelled to mention this site: Details about Edgar Steele's FED frame-up
For the curious, more about Mr. Steele's commentary can be found at Edgar Steele's audio and text articles

Different ways to manage your home computer data
It's been ages since I entered any blog info, so an issue came up some moments ago that I thought I'd address here. Not that many track or even know about this minuscule, personal, unimportant location for quite erratic unbosoming of random inanities (say that while eating peanut butter).

It Ain't Classical, It's "Serious"...
I'm going on record here to state the use of the word "classical" (to apply to any non-pop, non-rock, non-easy listening music) is a misnomer. Let's all agree to use the word "serious", since "classical" really applies to a certain era of European music compositional style. Well, really, it's not a big deal, but to use "serious" over "classical" is to be more accurate. Now, on to GandSnut's classical, er... "serious" music picks.

A Shadow That Goes "WOOF!"
I'm a Schipperke dog. I'm most often completely black with a dense fur coat, fox-like face and head, with no tail. I'm great with families, kids, and love to play in and out of the water. I was bred in Belgium, and in that country's language I'm a "little boatman", since I was used on barges to control vermin and stand guard.

The Thundering Thumb of Funk
The 'Nut is a big fan of a 1980's pop/funk band from England. They only had one American hit, "Something About You". I can't recall how I became aware of this band, but I'm glad I researched them and acquired more of their awesome output. Who are they? Why, "Level 42". Strange name for a band, you think? If you hunger for a breath of fresh air - even if from over 20 years ago - you must seek these guys out and give 'em a listen.

This Brave, New Blog
Ok, whoopie! The blogging software is installed, configured, we're off and running. This is my first official blog. Yet to be seen is the frequency with which I update the content. This is very definitely a work-in-progress, sailing through uncharted waters.
Meet My Buds, Bill And Art!
I don't recollect when I began using "GandSnut" as an Internet nom de plume, but it has been my mainstay identity for a goodly number of years. So far, I haven't run into another person also using the handle, so it seems to have a uniqueness in this great sea of millions of computer users.
As mentioned elsewhere on this website, I am a Gilbert & Sullivan fanatic. Honestly though, it's been a long time since I was directly involved with G&S. Still, the fanatic I remain. Continue reading "Meet My Buds, Bill And Art!" »
